Buddy is the best boy with a huge appetite!
He loves pets and belly scratches the most.

He is quite the lazy middle aged man during the day, not overly playful but will do about anything you want for a bone or a treat.

He does great with female dogs, but he has not been around male dogs in our care. He is very interested in cats but has never shown any aggression towards them.

He does very well on a leash and does better with a harness over a collar as he does pull a bit and chokes himself. He is currently on a Perimeter Collar and does very well unless the batteries die or it isn’t tight enough..then he is off on an adventure.

He uses the dog door to go in and out of the garage/house at his fosters home (sometimes he gets intimidated by it). He can go overnight without any accidents and doesn't chew on anything, not even toys, BONES ARE LIFE!

His foster is sure how he would do kenneled as he’s free to roam now and literally lays on the driveway sunbathing.

He will let you know when someone drives by or UPS or FedEx is coming into the driveway. He’s a gentle giant guarddog.

He does show some food aggression if there is only one bowl to share from, so he does need his own bowl.

He is great with all adults that we have seen male and female. Both adults hes familiar with and ones he is not. Now kids, kids are questionable. He’s fine with his fosters 2.5 year old but he is NOT a fan of middle sized kiddos. 12+ year olds seem to be fine though.

Buddy would love a farm or a house with a big fenced in yard that he can lay out and sun all day long if he chooses!

He is a big boy, weighing in at 87 pounds.

He is a Red Lab ranging somewhere between 7-9 years old. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped!
