Carl is still here waiting and that’s the part that doesn’t sit right.

Every time we post puppies, the applications roll in. And every time, Carl quietly waits.

He watches other dogs leave.

He stays steady.

He stays good.

Carl isn’t flashy. He’s not tiny. He’s not brand new. He’s just… solid. Loyal. Affectionate. Ready.

He loves bones and squeaky toys. He plays with other dogs and squirrel-watches like it’s a competitive sport. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped.

He climbs directly into your lap like you are the couch he has been promised his entire life.
